I have heard TV commentators trivialize Olympic

show jumping by calling it "miniature golf for horses."

It is only when one sees the contrast between the

Pentathaletes--particularly the men--trying to get

around a course vs. the show jumping pros that

a layman can begin to understand just how wrong things

can go if you don't know what you're doing.

It's like watching somebody who has had one month

of skiing lessons trying to get down a four diamond

slope!
