[RC] (no subject) - RockinVR

Hi Ruth,
You might contact a Ride to Walk program (they have different names) It is a program where gentle horses help handicapped children learn better coordination needed for everyday things like walking, running, hand to eye coordination, balance etc. Some of these children were handicapped from birth and some from accidents. The horses are soooo good for these children in so many ways. They give the children self esteem, give them an animal to love and create wonderful relationships that often last many years.
I have personally witnessed the miracles between these horses and the children. And it is so good for the horse. Many programs let you donate your horse on a temp basis or forever. It is totally up to the horse owner. The horses are treated very well, get the best of care and are loved so much.
I could not think of a better place to put your horse. If you don't know of a program like this in your area, just called an organization that works for or with handicapped children and I am sure they will be able to point you in the right direction.
Check out each organization until you find one you are comfortable with.
If you need help in finding a facility that offers this program, just email me and I will help.

Have a wonderful day
