I agree....this is, IMHO, "prompting". However, to call your crew and tell

them "I'm 10 minutes out, fix me a sandwich" is not. 

I can see it now:

Rider behind is getting out cell phone, fumbling with buttons, his horse rear 
ends mine, "Sorry"...beep beep beep- beep beep beep beep. "Hello, Jim, I'm 
almost there can you fix me something to eat?" "No, I'm not getting BEAT, I 
said, "Something to EAT", No, not FEET, EAT!!! Can you hear me now? Wait, we're 
coming to the top of a hill, now, can you fix me something to eat I'm almost 
there", Oh crap I dropped my sponge....Can you hear me now? I can SEE you, see 
me? That's me on the 5th gray behind the other 3 grays...
