Re: [RC] virus sent to smuncy from sonshine575-NOT I - heidiI sure hope your computer didn't get messed up. I remember an email (I think on subject line) saying "I found your bill" and I deleted it. I use Norton Anti-Virus and it keeps viruses off my computer. I didn't send you that email. Hopefully noone else got messed up from someone using my email. I never send anyone an email that says trust me. Keep me posted on what happens with your computer!!! I'm no expert on computers and e-mail, but just being on a list like this seems to enable the virus-perpetrators to send you e-mails using the names of other people on the list. I've gotten half a dozen private e-mails in the past couple of weeks where there is either the e-mail addy or the name of somebody on ridecamp in the "name" column in my inbox, and the subject line is something inane that is suggestive of spam. They invariably have an attachment (which of course I don't open), and a very non-specific message that makes it pretty obvious that it isn't really from who it says it's from. I've yet to get a virus from any of these--but then I also never open the attachments, and I dump them immediately. Just have to be aware of the tactics the spammers are using, and treat the spam accordingly...
