RE: [RC] [RC] Horse Identification - terry banister

Well, I guess we all had different experiences with the freeze marking! My comments were based on my horse's reaction during the less-than-30-second procedure, which was NONE. He didn't even flinch. It was a non-event for us.  And his skin has no scarring and the hair still grows - so much so, that I shave the area every time I clip his bridle path to keep it more easy to read.

But I think that WE ALL AGREE on the main point - it is HUMANE, and nothing more than we do to ourselves.

Also, it is not a substitute for temporary marking of large phone number on the animals in an emergency.
