[RC] Tevis photos - rider position - Kristi Schaaf

I browsed all of Ted Wilson's photos, and was
fascinated by the riding positions. I realize the
photo was a split second in time and may not reflect
how someone REALLY rides, but some of those riding
positions had me cringing; on the other hand, some of
the riders looked like poetry in motion on their
horses.I was surprised to see quite a few people
riding with REALLY straight legs (and several of them
were on tippy toe). I am in NO WAY critiquing the
riding skills of people doing 100 miles ('cause I sure
can't), but it would be really interesting (if it was
possible) to compare who finished with who had a
really nice riding position in the photo. Oh, and I
was thrilled to see several people with their feet
hanging way below the belly line (like 6'0 me on my
14'2 horse) Kristi iluvdez at yahoo dot com
