[RC] Riding Sneakers - Julienne

I recently purchased a pair of the waterproof Ariat Terrains.  I haven't gone through a winter with them yet, but as far as I can tell they keep the water out pretty well (Isabella gets quite rambuncious at water troughs and manages to soak me pretty good).  The only thing I don't really like about them is that I can't lace them up very tight (and my feet aren't really narrow either).

Before these I rode in Roper Horseshoes.

They make an "athletic" version of the Horseshoes you may want to look into.  The "boot" version lasted me 3 years but I found them to be heavy and wanted a shoe I could get off and hike with.  Here's a link for the Roper Athletic Horseshoes.
