[RC] Apology to the list... - Chris PausI'm sorry about straying off topic yesterday with my show misadventure. In my own mind, it was endurance related because it was a big reminder to me why I do distance sports instead of horse shows..Some of us, horses and people, just aren't cut out to ride in pointless circles around in arenas! My little mare will face down trail monsters but don't ask her to trot in circles in an indoor arena. I think Angie has a good story about showing and how it led her to endurance. I did a poor job of communicating that point. And, we recently had lots of discussion about what makes a good endurance horse, conformation wise. i thought it was pretty interesting that my 17YO Arab gelding, distance horse, placed 3rd in halter against a field of 8 much younger stock type horses. Anyway, I'm sorry for my off topic vent.
