[RC] Horse hunting in Southeast / finds - rides2far

Well, after 11 years with no purchases of personal mounts whatsoever,
I've gone on a tear and bought 2 horses this week. (one for Josie, one
for me) Did lots of driving, looked at lots of photos and feel satisfied
with what I found. Remember when I posted and asked do ya'll like
"tight" horses or the lanky "floaters"? Well, 100% of the respondees
*said* they preferred the "tight" horses. Then when I sent them a photo
of each they all went "Gah, gah" over the floater and voted for him. So,
as an experiment Josie got the floater, I got the "tight" one. We'll let
ya know how it works out over the next few years. >g< Send me a personal
note if you want to put your money on one of them and I'll send the
photos. Maybe we could have a betting pool...to be paid out in what....4
or 5 years? I'll hold the money. :-)

Just thought, if anybody in the SE is looking for a prospect, I found a
couple of good sweepstakes mares, from *successful* endurance stock, 3 &
4 yr. old, raised right. (I bought the full brother to one of them), drop
me a note. If you're interested I'll take a couple of photos when I go
down to pick mine up. (Northeast Alabama).

in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside,
thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming --WOW-- what
a ride !! "
