[RC] Pagosa Springs, CO - Patti Pankiewicz-Fuchs

Hubby, baby and I are taking off for Colorado to see some contour to the land (as hubby puts it) the first week of August. We'll be spending most of the week in the Pagosa Springs area. My only objective besides just seeing the sights is to see them from horseback if for only an hour or so. Though I've been across the pond a couple of times I've never been west of the Mississippi so this is a big deal to me. Just wondering if there are any ridecampers in the Pagosa Springs area who could suggest some place to go for a decent ride. I'm fine with a regular old dude string, but want to make sure I go to one that takes you places with some nice views.

PS I know that Parelli has his "Savvy Center" in Pagosa Springs, though somehow I doubt they offer trail rides. ;) Not ones that don't involve chasing a horse around with a carrot stick for 3 hours before you ride anyways...LOL just kidding...my best friend is a Parelli groupie, whenever she starts to talk about him I put my arms outs, zombie style, and say Pareeeeelllliiiii.....and when I quote ridecamp (which is often) she doe the same and says "riiiiiidecaaaaaamp."
