Re: [RC] The real "poop" on porta potties for a trailer - brncntryYou're right, not really a big deal unless hubby is making faces and commenting on how nasty it is. I think I enjoy waiting until he's around just to gross him out. And you notice the men are keeping rather quiet on this thread! So go forth and flush! Esther and Chagalle, who knows the maid will eventually clean his potty! --- Barbara McCrary <bigcreekranch@xxxxxxxxxx> wrote: I can't see how it could be any worse than raising babies. Changing diapers isn't a pleasant job, either, but we do it. We also clean horse stalls and clean up after dogs. It really isn't such a big deal...... With mine, I empty it downthetoilet at home, then put more water in the bottom, swish and flush in the house again. No matter howyoulook at it, it's a nasty job to clean it. I try to use my porta-pottie for urinating onlyandsave the other for the outhouses provided.'Course, you can't do that when primitive camping. Sostock upon rubber gloves, hold your breath and grit your teeth. I'd like to keep itin mytrailer dressing room or even in the main part of the trailer while camping. I've seen a few on Cabelas's site, and someotherplaces, but to be honest, I'm not sure... how they work. I don't know howtoask this kind of thing delicately, so I'll just come out with it - howdo Idispose of the stuff that is "deposited" into the potty? And howoften doI need to do that? Can I use the potty all weekend, or will I need toemptythe contents? Anyone who is brave enough to tell me how these different portable toilets work, please speak up! I'm looking primarily for something to use for weekend camping (I hate having to crawl out ofthetent and tromp 1/2 a mile to the outhouse in the middle of the night) andforday use at areas that do not have toilets. Any suggestions for specific models are also appreciated. I'm looking for something with the minimalamount of"ew gross" factor.
