[RC] Bandit Springs Ride another thought - Ed & Wendy Hauser

I would also like to mention that I was not able to thank the very nice
rider on the dappled gray who slowed down, and would have walked the last 10
miles of the second stage with me if I had asked. Ranger had not eaten or
drank properly at the first (away) check and started feeling down until he
decided to drink with her horse.

This help and concern on the trail is what distance riding is all about.

Ed.

PS. By the check at 30 miles, where he got pulled for lameness, he was
eating and drinking normally. After an hour at the trailer he looked
metabolically ready to resume the ride.
