[RC] Horse Buying - the vet - Nancy Sturm

My regular vet was not able to come out to pre-purchase a nice gelding for
me, so I called someone he recommended, a man who is well thought of in our
valley. I could see why! I said I was looking for an endurance prospect
(couldn't aford a made horse) and he said, "Well, I'm not sure how much use
my opinion will be to you. I told a prospective buyer that a particular
horse was a very poor prospect for endurance and the same horse later went
to the Pan Ams and has never taken a bad step".

I liked the guy's attitude - but when he had come to the farm twice and the
horse was obviously lane both times, I didn't buy.
