The bitless uses poll pressure like a boucher snaffle.
If your horse dosn't respond well to poll pressure
they will not go well in the bitless. Headshaking
would be a sign they don't like the poll pressure.
These horses would be better off in a sidepull with a
running martingale if needed.

My horse likes the bitless, but since the noseband
must be fitted low and snug I only use it for ring
work. I use a sidepull or hackamore for trail work.
