[RC] How cold it too cold? - A. Perez

... what we have out there right now - it's TOO COLD!

But seriously... the answer really depends on logistics and
circumstances. Cold weather is a big deterrent to me because my
gelding sweats like a pig in any weather, and I field board. If
I ride, I have to allow lots of cool-out/dry off time
afterwards, and with the short days and the fact that I work for
a living, that means weekends are the only practical time to
ride, so I can ride early enough in the day to be sure he will
be completely dry by nightfall. If he didn't sweat so much, if
I had a stall, or an indoor ring... well, of wishes were horses,
beggers would ride in the cold!
