Hi Roger:

Sorry you're having such a tough month.  Although having a son deployed is
not exactly a reason to celebrate, I think you can certainly celebrate
having raised this kind of young man.  Our youngest just got back from
Kosovo.  The photos he sent both scared me to death and made my heart swell
with pride.

Having the horse fail to pass the vet ... well, I just bought a nice gelding
after bringing two home on trial that REALLY were not nice to handle/ride
and having the two "perfect" selections fail to pass their soundness exams.
I can't tell you how bummed I was about one of these.  She was absolutely
"perfect".  Of course, not sound is not perfect.

So ... after six months of shopping, I bought less-than-perfect, a nice
gelding that is working out really REALLY well - not quite as pretty as one
horse, hasn't done several 50's like the other, but a good honest gentleman,
getting very tough and fit on the trails and a dream to ride.  He's doing
his first LD in a couple of weeks.  Keep shopping.
