[RC] Endurance riders have a right to be proud... - A. Perez

... of their sport, especially when compared to dog sledding. I
sent my prior post after finding the quote on sled-dog deaths in
the Iditerod, but before reading the site
http://www.helpsleddogs.org/

It is sickening. It has quotes from a person who watched a
musher deliberately kick his dog to death, shows photos of
seld-dog kennels where dogs are kept on short tethers, ("In the
sections entitled Tethering Policy Statement and The Dog Yard
and Housing, Mush with P.R.I.D.E. opposes this conclusion and
encourages mushers to permanently tether their dogs on five foot
chains.")
