This makes the assumption that all top ten riders have ridden their horse to the edge of it's ability and need an enforced, extended rest.
There are small rides where there might be one or two fast times and the rest of the top ten just trickle in. Sometimes only 10 complete.

This is an interesting question, Jim...particularly if one notes the words
"top ten placement" and if one considers what our horses would answer (if they
could figure out the keyboard-thingy).
