Rascal used to do this--Igrabbed the oppostie rein and turned him back the way he spooked.. Then it became sencond nature to do that, for me. Then he started to quit and just "spook in place', ....
(couarse that was befor ehe had a year off).
I do have that "bombproof your Horse". It says angling the horses head away from a potential spooky object often works . (course, you have to see it first;0)

When my horse spooks at something unexpected, she tends to spin. I don't like it because she is so reactive and fast in her spin that I tend to be tossed off. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to train her not to spin when she spooks? Thanks. kim
