Re: [RC] Grapes-toxic? - Suzi Maiorisi

We have a grape vine growing in the dog yard and my Dane regularly eats the hard green grapes and has never had a problem.  There's also a grape vine in the pasture, but it grows to the top of the trees and I haven't seen Holly nibbling on those...

Raisins (or grapes?) deadly to dogs?  That's odd, because our Border Collie loves grapes (and apples and nectarines), and he isn't dead yet.  Maybe raisins have something in them that grapes don't?

I,ve got a neighbor who has a few thompson seedless grapevines hanging over the fence. The grapes are fabulous and Lancer loves them but I'm hesitant to let him have too many.  I know raisins can be deadly to dogs, anyone know about horses?
