[RC] Tevis and Headlamps - sangel15

I am fairly new to this sport (3 50's in the past for training and a 25 and a
50 so far and scheduled for 4 more 50's this year), however my horse and I have
been in training for several years and train at night at least once a month
(full moon). Would like to try our first 100 soon. I have found that instead of
using a head lamp or flash light with white or yellow light use a night vision
light. It works much better and does not intefere with your or your horse's
night vision. I thought about using this due to my work, as we use night vision
goggles. I work as a medic on a rescue helicopter. When we use the goggles we
have to use lights that will not ruin our night vision so I just modified a
regular flash light for use on the trails. I'm usually alone so I don't know if
it would bother other people but I wouldn't think so. If you are interested
e-mail me privately and I'll figure out what you need to modify your lights.
And good luck to all at Tevis. By the way is anyone going to the Carolina
Moonlight Ride (SE)? Same weekend as
Tevis. Sharon Hinshaw and Renegade
