Re: [RC] re: New filly - Mike & Kathy Kelly

I have a 12 week old filly (my first!) and she hasn't had any diarrhea in
the month I've had her. Both mom and foal are healthy and in good weight.
Mom is on good grass hay and some alfalfa, along with some soaked beet pulp
with supplements (a mineral supplement custom mixed to balance the grass
hay, sunflower seeds, ground flax seed, vit E caps, iodized salt, carrots).

My question: Is there anything in the beet pulp that the foal shouldn't be
eating? She eats quite a bit of grass hay in addition to nursing. Mom eats
most of the beet pulp mix, but foal may get a cup or two of it each day.

Thanks!
Kathy Kelly
