First, I want to say that from the depth of my heart, I ache for Tayna and
her huge loss. Tenzing was a very fine horse. I always admired him for his
beauty and Tayna for her care and love of him. I always have held Tayna in
high reguard as an accomplished rider and lover of her horses. She

deserves

our sympathy, not unfounded criticisim. Tenzing lived right off the tevis
trail and both Tenzing and Tayna have ridden that trail more then the
average rider. I have ridden that trail poning a horse, running with a
horse, and riding licky split...the trail anywhere in that section can be
dangeous. This was a horrible accident that could have happened to any of
you. Quit throwing blame, and let AERC start asking questions and find out
IF anything could have been done to avoid this. Now is a time to give care
to our fellow rider who lost her beloved horse.

I too think a start at Deadwood should be questioned. Fresh horses on that
section increases risk for accidents.
