Re: [RC] TEVIS TRAIL ACCIDENT REMARK TO STEVEN POE - Steven Proe

Hi: I have no Idea, I have heard these accounts from people on the ride,
everything that occurred on that day are open to interoperations by each and
every person there. It is like touching the elephant with a blindfold on.

I do know the lady that was injured, she and I have ridden together and she
is a "local" and been over this area for in excess of 15 years. I certainly
am not going to place blame on any one as I was not their.

I spoke with a ride helper yesterday, and asked if they knew what had
occurred with No response, they just stated that they helped. I also spoke
with a participant, this is where I received some of my information.

I'm just curious - is the man taking any responsibility for the
accident? Is he even aware that he caused it?

I WAS THERE, MY FRIEND AND MY 11 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER AS WELL. THE 3 OF US
RIDING TOGETHER. I POSTED WHAT HAPPENED YESTERDAY ON RIDECAMP, TO LET A FEW
PEOPLE KNOW WHAT HAD HAPPENED. I WAS GOING TO LEAVE IT AT THAT, HOWEVER
THERE SEEMS TO BE A MISUNDERSTANDING. THERE WAS A MAN RIDING HIS HORSE UP
ONTO THIS LADYS HORSE, SO CLOSELY CAUSING HER HORSE TO TRIP. NOW THIS HAD
NOTHING TO DO WITH THE TRAIL AND/OR ITS REPAIR. ITS A BEAUTIFUL TRAIL AND
CHALLENGING AND THATS WHY WE GO. FOR THE EXPERIENCE. HOWEVER,YES IT WAS
NARROW (NOT WIDE LIKE YOU WERE TOLD)TRAIL. THE POST IS FOR PEOPLE TO TAKE
BETTER CARE OF EACH OTHER... NOT RIDE SO CLOSELY THAT MY CHILD HAD TO SEE
THIS, AND A LOSS OF A BEAUTIFUL HORSE HAD TO OCCUR LET ALONE TANYA, HER
EXPERIENCE OF IT ALL ITS HEART BREAKING. OUR PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU TANYA.
