[RC] RE:"[RC] Is it possible to refuse entry? - Magnumsmom - Nancy Mitts

Before this thread takes on a life of it's own, remember the old adage "there are 2 sides to every story?" That was an understatement, there are usually a dozen.
I attended a NATRC ride (as a vendor) this past weekend and they announced that so and so was "rules interpreter" for the ride. That might be something for ride managers to keep in mind. I know it can be hard to find enough help as it is, but if you know someone with good arbitration skills, give em the rulebook to study on. The ride manager has so many things to do it would be a good job to delegate. Then when these little "I saw so & so do...", or even worse, "I think so and so must have...." episodes occur (and they always will) there will be a delegated person to try to sort it out. Even though the ride manager must make the ultimate decision, it helps if they can get the "cliff notes" unemotional version.

Where is Louise Burton's orginal post, or what was the issue
exactly? I can't seemt to find it in the archives.

Is it possible for a ride manager to refuse entry to anyone
wishing to enter their ride for previous cause? ... sorta like
resturants reserving the right to refuse service? I just caught
up to the post where Louise Burton is talking about 60 riders
loosing out because of 2. Wouldn't it be better to just refuse
entry to the two and have fun with the other 0 next year? I'm
really not liking this trend of riders who refuse to
take personal responsibility.
