Re: [RC] Indigestion - heidiI go through this too, and even get some motion sickness! The important thing is to eat before the ride, even if you don't feel like it and to keep yourself well hydrated. I also take some pepto the night before the ride and the morning of. For me, the eating thing is really the key. And I find the water does me more good if I've eaten well--just like it does for the horses. I've found that glugging some EmergenC before and during the ride really helps me. I had really hoped this might work for me as well, as I can drink EmergenC in the mornings without getting ill. But like most other such supplements, it made me fairly nauseous when I tried to drink it during a ride. So I'm back to making sure I have a little something to eat to go with my water, and chugging milk at vet checks... <sigh> Heidi =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
