Even though this new Dodge HO is a short bed, (and I have been informed
that you can't get it in the long bed version, which is too bad), we have
not had any clearance or turning problems.  We had the gooseneck hitch
installed the same time that we had the sissy bars put on.  I think the
short beds are fine for pulling a gooseneck, but one just has to be aware
that they can't jackknife it as severely as one can with  the longbed. 
Oh course, my friend with the longbed and gooseneck shattered her rear
window when she turned to sharp and put her loungechair through it!!!
Incidentally, although the new Dodge is shortbed crewcab with the back
doors, it has the same wheel base as my old '91 Dodge longbed.  That's an
important stability issue, fer sure....  Renie
