YES!!!

I have used it and LOVE IT. Can't say enough about the stuff.
I am a farrier and I have tested it against traditional padding.
Went to Pineville Turkey Trot and did the 2-day, had one horse
shod all four feet with regular pads, the other with the equipak,
guess what...the Equipak did better than the pads. If fact, it
did great. Make sure that you get the black packing, the clear
will not hold up with rocks and rough footing nearly as well. If
you are shoeing yourself or if someone else is, be sure to get
the mesh material that Vettec makes for the packing. It will not
stay in if you don't have it. I have also used the Equibuild,
it did wonderful too, used it on a horse that had a huge hole
in her hoof. Nailed 2 nails in it and she did several rides. It
works just like real hoof wall. It can be purchased from Jeffers Vet Supply.
They carry all of the products at a good
price. $20 for a large tube of packing. Their website is:

There must be a full understanding between the horse and rider for entry
into the top competition brackets. There must be a confidence established
that the desired position is attainable. There must be a caring for the
horse, on the part of the owner, so as to not exceed the physical limits in
the heat of competition. There must be a well planned training program that
will result in the necessary equine attributes.
