Reasonable at doing 50's. Strong metabolic soundness. Mentally tough. Self perserving - that is no matter how big an idoit they might be they will drink (and eat) at mile one on. I don't belive that a horse that will not drink for 20 miles is a good candidate (at least I would not start a 100 with such a horse). You might get away with that in a 50 - but what is taken out early can't be put back in later in the ride.
