Re: [RC] equipedic pads - Barbara McCrary

I have one and I love it! It sits on the horse's back with ample room at
the withers, it doesn't slip, nor does the saddle move off it. It gives the
horse a nice cushioning between himself and the saddle and leaves an even
sweat pattern. I just rode my horse's first 50 miler a couple of weeks ago
and he had no problems at all. The one thing I particularly love about it
is the fact that it's thick enough to take up the necessary room to make my
wide tree saddle fit a horse that doesn't have a wide back. It was a lot
cheaper than a new saddle! I haven't found any downside of it yet, but I
haven't taken it apart to wash the cover. It seems someone mentioned it is
hard to get the inserts back in, but I may be thinking about some other pad.
We shall see when the time comes. In the meanwhile, I brush the contact
side with a stiff brush to fluff up the nap and remove the horsehair after
every ride.

Just because someone tells you that your horse isn't "fit" for
endurance...doesn't mean it isn't, it just means your horse isn't fit to
be
"their" endurance horse! Go for it, you never know what you'll accomplish
with that "saddle horse" or "trail horse" of YOURS!
