[RC] Suzi and Howard - Linda Hedgpeth

"Death, when you take me, please, do
so when I'm on my horse.  And, if it's not too much to ask, take me alone
and let the horse live to run another day."
Gotta put that one on my quote list!! Thanks Howard!

Howard and Suzi,

A good friend of mine back in Texas dearly loved cutting horses....and he had some really good ones.   He ate, slept and breathed cutters.   We used to meet for weekly "practices" with a group and he was always there.   One day, at a practice, he had just quit his cow and had a heart attack.  I held him in my arms, while he died there, lying in the dirt of the cutting pen.   That quote above, would have been his as well, for he died doing what he loved most in life.   And, his beautiful mare lived on to challenge another cow.
