[RC] To Grind or Not to Grind Flaxseed - Ridecamp Guest

Boy I feel like I'm back in school and this is a test. If I remember correctly
Susan Garlinghouse said that if you grind it you must feed it immediately
because the fatty acids (and/or anti-oxidants?) are highly volatile. I think
she said that it would probably work better if you grind it. But then I think
she said that she doesn't grind it for her own horses. I was grinding it but
burned through two coffee grinders in 3 months. It does put a shine in their
coats. Will try a blender or food processor next time. Mmm haven't looked in
the manure for seeds. I wonder if the soaking causes the fatty acids
(anti-oxidants) to disappear? Mmmm Think I get a C+ on this answer because I
can't remember if fatty acids are the same as anti-oxidants.

===========================================================The whole ride
experience can be very hard, and at times you question why
you put yourself through such abuse. But then you remember all those
moments when you pop up over a hill and are suddenly surrounded by the most
stunning views. It's just you and your horse and for a moment time stops
and you can hear the angels sing. Therein lies the addiction, at least for
me.
