And her sister has latched onto me.

She was actually bought by my business partner years ago
but she decided to ignore them and makes no bones about
the fact she thinks I am hers.

The first 3 years of her life we hated each other.  I would have
willingly taken her out and shot her.  The main farm dogs are
Aussies (no tails and  "I'm game!" attitudes).  The RB was a
neurotic nutcase with a coffee table clearing tail and when
you let her out you didn't know where she was going to end up
and she followed directions like a rock.

7 years ago I was in their den looking for something when a
strange thought(?) just popped into my mind, "You let me
go with you, I'll behave."  I looked around and saw her laying
in her crate watching me. I *KNEW* that message came from
that dog.  I mentally said, "Deal!" opened the crate and we have
been best buds from that moment.

From the first cold day in the fall to the first warm day in the
spring she wants to sleep in the bed under the covers jammed
up against my legs.

She spends about 95% of the day sleeping, it's her passion.

We have had 5 of them over the years.  They have a brain all
right.  The problem is figuring out which one is using it.  One
ate a pail of supplement and laid in the yard all night moaning,
groaning and farting.
