Barbara, I have a horse that did the same thing.  I had her shod "tight," the 
way Bill used to shoe them.  I know people say it will cause contracted heels 
but I never had that problem in all the years Bill did my horses.  Jeremy is 
shoeing Liya tighter and she has been keeping her shoes on since then......mb




particular horse we have that over-reaches and snatches off front shoes, often 
within the first 1/2 mile of a ride.
