Hi Michelle, Read your post about the SS flap. I had the same problem, I cut them off. I do ride with a full length saddle cover but the few times I haven't it didn't bother me at all. In fact, my friend who also rides in an SS cut hers off and she rides without a cover and no complaints. Just a thought. Peggy
