I purchased a synthetic Thorowgood "Griffin" GP/AP in an extra-wide, for the Broad Back horse - which has made my rotund, mutton withered ARAB very comfortable. The panels underneath the saddle - just under the cantle - are five (5) inches at their widest point. Question: Does anyone have a Jill Thomas Endurance model, and if so, could you tell me how wide the panels are at their widest point? Reason for asking is I have contacted several dealers in the States - they don't stock them (have to be ordered), and not much is known about them. But then you remember all those moments when you pop up over a hill and are suddenly surrounded by the most stunning views. It's just you and your horse and for a moment time stops and you can hear the angels sing.
