Once again, hats off to Vickie Green for doing an outstanding job on the
Survivors Trek - a magnificent ride - the closest thing to Tevis training that
anyone aspiring to do Tevis would want. More importantly, recognition should
be given to a gal who always keeps the sport of endurance uppermost - if it
weren't for Vickie we wouldn't have these trails i.e.-- The Sunland, Warriors
Water Hunt, and now Survivors Trek, which is single tract PCT trail
incorporated with the old. The water drops she had were perfect - making this
ride more do-able on a very hot day. Thank you, again Vickie. Besides I got
to ride with the Duck and give him all sorts of hell (he took it in stride on
that beautiful Bezatel mare) - he was a good sport and he did a great job as
did Monica Bennet on her Akhal-teke. All looked great at the finish including
John Parke's Remington Dick Fonseca
