Jim, it does sound like there are provisions in the new Plan for designating and developing new trails (the 60 miles Sharon mentioned). There are two choices here - work with the FS to implement this project, or take the confrontational approach you advocate. Which one do you honestly think will do the most FOR trails? You can build bridges or you can burn them...and once burned, it's hard to rebuild them.
