A TOTAL prizemoney of BD14,200 will be presented to the top 10 finishers in the 160km Endurance Horse Ride Championship, organised by the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation and sponsored by Batelco, which starts tomorrow at the endurance village premises in Sakhir and ends on Friday.
The race which is only for senior riders, will see the winner walk away with a BD3,000 prize, the runner-up will be presented with BD2,500, while BD2,000 will be given away to the third-placed rider.
As for the other positions, BD1,500 will be awarded to the rider finishing fourth, BD1,200 for fifth place, BD1,000 for the sixth, BD900 for the seventh, BD800 for the eighth, BD700 for the ninth and BD600 for the 10th place.
Other complimentary prizes will be given away to the riders who complete certain stages within the race.
Preparations have reached the final stages to host the two-day event being held for the first time in the Kingdom as the number of registered riders reached 60 with 24 hours remaining.
Tomorrow's race will be divided into three stages with the first featuring 30km, 30km for the second stage and 20km for the final.
On Friday, the race will start with a 30km stage, another 30km for the second and concludes with a 20km stage.
