Anyone looking for a great person to help you get started in endurance or want
to move to the next level?
I recommend and offer a heart felt thanks to Heidi Helly of the PS Region for a
safe and sane introduction to the endurance world. Besides being a very
conscientious horsewomen, she made every aspect of conditioning, ride
preparation and actually participating in the rides a fun and memorable
experience. I felt honored to have the opportunity to ride her "Veteran's"
while I was figuring out all the nuances and strategies of getting myself and
my equine partner through to a completion. She and best friend/riding
partner,Terri Egan let
me tag along on conditioning rides, my first LD, my first multi-day, my first
65, my first 50...all riding Heidi's "Cadillac" horses to successful
completions! Heidi helped me find a wonderful horse of my own and coached me
through his conditioning and his first 50 with a successful completion
on a very tough ride. I have since purchased a second horse, a decked out
trailer (Thanks to Shel and Lisa Schneider!!!) and am riding the Color
Country's Multi-day in Southern Utah. The best part is I've been able to pass
along the wealth of knowledge Heidi beat into me to several of my FIVE
daughters and am sponsoring my 10 year old in her first LD. This will be
my first ride without Heidi and I feel like a fledgling venturing out on my
own...but I learned from the best and feel well prepared. Wish me luck!
Thanks Heidi...I couldn't have done it without you!!!
