[RC] stick or auto whatever gets you to the ride, I say - oddfarm

I don't know nuthin 'bout no engines but I can say this.
I have the Duramax diesel with the Allison automatic transmission. I just got back from Leatherwood and have been to Big South Fork which has a very steep downgrade. I pull the BAT with this truck and all I do is tap the brakes and that transmission takes care of most of the work to  slow down or stop. Even coming down that steep grade at BSF. It is pretty amazing. Of course my trailer has brakes as well but I am telling you, that transmission is awesome.

Just driving through Tampa which sometimes gets bumper to bumper can drive a horse crazy in the trailer. I have very smooth starts and stops using very little braking. I have almost 60,000 miles on this truck (2002) and most of that is pulling the BAT. So far, so good.
