[RC] Newbie - WRSINOSKY

Greetings from AZ!  I just started riding endurance (LD) in January and I think I've found my niche in life. This is a wonderful sport!  As seems to be the case, my first ride was quite the adventure.  First, the horse I'd been conditioning flunked the preride vet exam with a "slight hitch to his right rear".  Consequently, I took the 4 1/2 y/o half arab nitwit who is quite an experience just to get on. We finished overtime, but it didn't matter. I still enjoyed the ride. The next ride we came in under the alloted time, but people at base camp were still talking about that "crazy horse" who started in the 30 miler. So two weeks before the next ride, knuckhead decided to pull muscles in his left shoulder. Don't ask how he did it. He's a horse. So I'm currently trying to the original horse ready for April 3rd. I'll probably sit back and just listen to this group most of the time. I think I can learn alot.
