Go to http://urbanlegends.about.com/, their site is quite an education!  The 
agencies who investigate this kind of fraud e-mails (also in part known as 419 
scams, after the section of Nigerian law, where most of these things 
originate), have a list of indicators that you can check if you're not sure 
about an e-mail.  Amongst them are what Bette listed - urgency, poor grammar 
and spelling, a chance at making instant profit, and most often would want you 
to do something illegal to make that quick profit.  In the case of this 
particular scam, it's to duck the various monetary laws (money laundering).
