[RC] Trailer floor - Jena Williams

I took the mats out of my trailer to give a spring cleaning and check-up.  The last board before the ramp is total rotted out.  The board next to it has a couple of soft spots as well.  My question is:  Do I need to replace the whole floor or just the bad boards?  Can you replace with the synthetic lumber they use for decks?   It seems that would avoid future rot problems.  Money is really tight, but I want my horse safe.  I would rather not go to a ride than him get hurt.

Thanks,
