[RC] gas prices - Chrystal

Re: what are gas prices like in the rest of the world???????
WAY more than you pay in the States, a few years ago when I was in England
it cost $60.00 ( Can) to fill up a tiny car- something the size of a small
Honda.:-(
It has long been a complaint of environmentalists for a long time that
because gas is ( relatively) cheap in North America we drive huge trucks
and SUV's with abandon, if you lived in the U.K. it costs $150.00 ( Can) to
fill up a SUV- ( a friend of mine bought one over there, lasted about 6
months before he got tired of the "petrol" bills.)
To go to a ride 3 hours away and back costs me about $120.00 ( Can) - my
husband keeps telling me I should just ride my horse there and save us some
money!!!:-):-)

Arabians were bred for years primarily as a war horse and those
requirements are similar to what we do today with endurance riding.
