[RC] A note from the next EN - Michael Maul

The March issue went to the printer yesterday and you should be getting it sometime over the next few weeks.

The issue goes second class so the delivery time is variable. The office is looking again at the cost to send it first class so it would getto everyone in a reasonable time.

Here's a note that will appear in the April EN.

AERC Members with email who hate Spam

We all really don't want to receive spam in our email. It's
80% of what I receive today.

On the other hand - your internet provider may be blocking
spam by either allowing only senders who are on your
"friends" list or requiring that all senders go to a
specific website where they request permission to send you
email. You must then approve this sender.

AERC sends email alerts to those members who have requested
them concerning changes in the ride calendar for selected
rides, for new rides appearing on the calendar in selected
regions, ride result posting, point standing updates, and
many other changes.

In a few cases - AERC may send a general messages to all the
riders in a region. Examples might be when a ride has been
canceled at the last minute or a reminder to renew.
Messages might also go to all ride managers or all vets.

You should add the following email addresses to your
approved list if you would like to receive email from AERC

sqlmail@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
sqlmail@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
aerc@xxxxxxxxxxxx

It's a small "L" in the sqlmail above.

The method for doing this will vary with your internet
provider so check with them to see how to do this.

And please keep your email address current in the AERC
records using your members page linked from the AERC home page.

If you have questions - email me at mmaul@xxxxxxxxx or use
the "Contact AERC" link from the home page.
