yeah... well I wear huge big granny knickers and still get sore in those places
wore a pair of cotton carousel's yesterday and rode thru the seams on the
inside thighs in 6 hours...supplex
does last much longer, and very cool in summer. Wintertime I get blue tighs
from the cold though. They do snag but holes
are almost invisible, and will not get bigger... and bigger...
Had a lovely pair of polar fleece tights, very very comfy and warm. Snagged
bottom on thorny bush, small hole kept
getting bigger and bigger, by the time I got home I had crotchless AND
bottomless tights.
At least the huge granny knickers helped to keep some dignity :-)
Padded seats are like diapers, as long as you are on the horse they are ok.
Walking or running is another story,
get someone else to present your horse to vet, and unless you are stick thin,
wear long top to cover up - the padding
makes your bottom look like the backend of a doubledecker bus!!
I find the contoured padding better than the one that goes a bit down your
thighs - more like wearing huge hygienic towel
rather than diaper :-]
Generally to avoid chafing strong & snug material is better (nylon something).
A good tip from an old hunter friend, NEVER
have a hot bath before riding because it softens skin and makes chafing etc
much worse...
Maybe somebody could invent tights with the sheepskin seatsaver already
attached? That way you are always comfortable
whatever you sit on ( like upturned buckets at the vetgate etc.) and you can
also polish your car by backing into it
and doing squats?

them OVER your tights!!!

ouch!! I have a friend how rode in a thong panty once, and she said she was
raw for weeks, in very unmentionable places. LOL
