No flames from me.  I have said many times, there are worse things that can 
happen to a horse [or any animal for that matter] than dying.  Once they are 
dead they are beyond caring.  Their souls, if you believe they have them, are 
gone.  I realize that some people cannot stand the idea of their beloved pet 
being cut up, left to the wild animals, hauled off by the knackers, etc., 
however, they should not attack those of us who handle it that way.
