If it were simply, who can train one horse to win the "big race"
I believe we would still be right up there. Our guys are doing
about as well as we could wish in that area.  My concern is
that the speeds required now require RISK TAKING. That means
in addition to large numbers of dollars, you need large numbers
of HORSES.  How many horses did they BRING to Spain?

I believe that to run horses that close to the edge, you've got
to have plenty of horses to make up for those that go *over* the
edge. That's not something most of us find acceptable.  The ones
that make it probably do look great. I'd love to see the ones
that retired before race day.
