[RC] [Guest] Barn/homes - Ridecamp Moderator

Jan Mutchler jmutchler@xxxxxxxxxxxxx

I had some friends in Fargo, ND that had a barn-home combo. I believe theirs was a Morton structure. It was a huge building with the living quarters on the upper level. I think there were offices, grain storage, tack room, etc below the living quarters. The living quarters were very nice with plenty of room. They did not have any complaints with odor, but they did have a double door system. From the barn area, you went up the stairs, thru one door where barn coats, etc were kept. Then through a second door into the living area. The owners loved this setup because of the convenience. The woman used to run downstairs at night in her nightie and slippers to check on pregnant mares. The indoor arena was connected to the barn. With the winters NoDak can get, it made everything very comfortable for them.
